The Official and Original Water Party - 'Shorts Shorts' edition

It is often said that actions do speak louder than words. A cliché, but one that bears a significant amount of gravity. an event having approximately 4,000 patrons in the first two hours and having an equal number trying to get in, speaks volumes.

Since the introduction of the concept in 2006, Island Mas Jamaica has proven that its main aim is to provide above-satisfactory service as it relates to entertainment. They have managed to keep their patrons intrigued and excited about each event. Every staging comes with something bigger and better. For the ninth staging, Island Mas Jamaica now joined by Red Stripe Bold along with the Bigger Better network Digicel, presents The Official and Original Water Party - "Shorts Shorts" edition.

On October 14, the UDC field (behind Emancipation Park) in New Kingston will be transformed into an oasis. Patrons will be allowed to live in total bliss upon entering the venue at 9 p.m. Apart from the superb mixing that will be provided by talented deejays such as Arif Cooper, Bambino, Code Red with Lank and Chris Diamond, DJ Billy, and Richie Ras patrons will have a number of attractions such as numerous water trucks, slides, rides and body painting to enhance their experience.

One of the directors of Island Mas Jamaica - Andrew Bellamy - states with much conviction that extra effort has been placed on resolving past issues such as entry glitches and space restrictions that were experienced at the last event. He apologises again to his patrons but reassures them that all the steps have been made to rectify those problems and so patrons should just come to enjoy the party, especially with the great Red Stripe $100 deals.

Patrons are being encouraged to join the heroic movement in the true sense of heroes' weekend. "Our heroes fought endlessly so that we could enjoy life to the fullest. They would be elated to see people come together to celebrate life and freedom in a secure environment," Bellamy said.
