Just when Champelle was getting into high gear with DJ Karyzma steering the event that was being held at the Constant Spring Golf Club, St Andrew, the police ended the fun prematurely.

It was only 1:55 a.m., minutes before the 2 a.m. cut off time stipulated by the Noise Abatement Act, when the police showed up on the elevated DJ booth. Extremely shocked, the patrons stood looking at each other and waiting for instructions.

"No Kartel? And mi nuh cock it up and 'kin out it yet?," an older woman questioned, causing some amount of laughter.

After a few anxious minutes, ZJ Ice took up the microphone and spoke.

"Check check check," ZJ Ice said and the people screamed. "Don't celebrate yet. The officer seh it pass 2 o'clock. The after party at Lucky 38, the whole a wi can hold."

Although disappointed, patrons made their way to the bar and food areas to consume what was left at the drink-inclusive event.

Luckily, the patrons were enjoying themselves prior to the end of the party. ZJ Ice entertained patrons with Demarco and Craig Jackson's Show It, Usher's Hey Daddy and Beyonce's Single Ladies. Then he glided into more raunchy songs like Pamputae's Call Yuh Man Name and Charly Black's Bubble. Leftside and Sean Paul's Back It Up brought much-needed life into the party. From raunchy to hardcore, ZJ Ice played Ding Dong's Badman Forward. During his set, he also played songs that had patrons doing dance moves like 'Willie Bounce' and 'Summer Bounce'. He had them bopping heads and raising hands for songs like LMFAO Party Rock Anthemand Flo Rida's Get Low.

DJ Karyzma started his set with some older dancehall songs like Bounty Killer and Cham's Another Level and Sizzla'sKarate. But this was not without a few technical glitches that led to the music shutting off a few times.

Nonetheless, he got some 'forwards' for Buju Banton's Boom Bye Bye. He also played the older songs in very quick succession. But in the process, he also replayed some of the songs from ZJ Ice's set minutes earlier. Luckily, he moved on to more energetic dance songs that got some of the audience moving. He also played high-energy songs like Yeah x3 that had the patrons raising their hands and Beyonce's Who Run The World, before slowing down with Kelly Rowland's Motivation.
