Count your blessings

Dear Pastor,

One of the main cures for worrying is gratitude. In other words, counting your blessing and realising that life could actually be worse than it is currently is. Also, chronic worriers have to learn to recondition their minds, and this is something that they may have to work on for a while.

They have to feed their minds with the kind of positive messages that will change their negative attitude. People who worry all the time need to work on improving themselves rather than remaining stuck. People are less worried when they have the knowledge of how to solve their problems. So, if money is a worry, they can read books on how to play the stock market and so on.

D.C.

Dear D.C.,

I would not encourage people who worry to play the stock market. To play the stock market, one takes risk. A worrier should seek the advice of financial counsellors to know where to put his money.
