Two men are now in custody as investigations continue into guns and ammunition find in the Eastern Kingston communities of McWhinney and Charlotte streets yesterday morning.

Reports are that about 1:45 a.m, a team of police officers from the Kingston Eastern, Motorised Patrol and Mobile Reserve divisions conducted a special operation in the communities, during which several premises were searched, and the following items seized:

1. One AK-47 rifle

2. One Ruger P85 9mm pistol

3. Thirty-six 9mm rounds

4. One hundred and thirteen 7.62 cartridges

5. Five hundred and ninety-two 5.62 cartridges

6. Two AK magazines

7. Two 9mm magazines

8. Two ballistic vests with inserts
