Girl charged for brother's murder remanded |

|
The 19-year-old woman who has been charged in connection with the recent murder of her 11-year-old brother, Tareek Gregory, was remanded in the Mandeville Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. She is Denisha Gregory who has been jointly charged with her boyfriend, 21-year-old Kayode Garwood. Garwood was also remanded in court. The case is to be mentioned again October 12. Meanwhile, Denisha was ordered to get a psychiatric evaluation. Velma Hylton, attorney-at-law representing the Denisha, requested a copy of the case file and asked that a psychiatric evaluation be done. On September 12, Tareek's body was found with several stab wounds and a slashed throat. Following the boy's murder, detectives from the Manchester Police Division listed his sister as a person of interest in relation to the incident. She was apprehended in the company of Garwood in the Burke Road area of Spanish Town, St Catherine, a few days after. |
