Minister Chang hospitalised |

The Mitsubishi Pajero that Minister of Water, Environment and Housing Dr Horace Chang and wife were travelling in on their way to the funeral of Enid Golding, mother of Prime Minister Bruce Golding, on the Dyke Road adjacent to Jam World in Portmore St Catherine yesterday. - Ricardo Makyn/Staff Photographer The Minister of Water, Environment and Housing, Dr Horace Chang, had to be hospitalised yesterday after being involved in a motor-vehicle crash. Information reaching THE STAR is that the minister suffered injuries to his shoulder and arm. Reports are that Dr Chang and his family were travelling on the Dyke Road in St Catherine when their vehicle was hit by another coming from Passagefort Drive. THE STAR understands that the family was on their way to the funeral for the prime minister's mother. The driver of the other vehicle who was said to be unconscious was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital while the minister was taken to the University Hospital of the West Indies. Meanwhile, it is also understood that Dr Chang's bodyguard and his wife sustained minor injuries. |
