Digicel Rising Stars 2011 winner Chantal Latouche, more popularly known as Tash, said she is terrified at the thought that unscrupulous persons wanted to rob her. On Monday night, THE STAR understands that she escaped a robbery attempt at her home in Yallahs, St Thomas. "I am scared and terrified. I hear some people saying in the streets that I should not have won the competition. Some people just a badmind me," Tash said. The incident reportedly occurred sometime after 11 p.m. Information reaching THE STAR is that alert residents summoned the police after they observed the strange movements of a group of men at a neighbouring house to Tash. It is reported that the group of about four men attempted to break into her home. However, upon the arrival of the lawmen, it is reported that the men ran in different directions. The upcoming artiste who was on Sunday night awarded a prize of $1 million for winning the talent competition was at home with a female relative at the time of the incident. "I dont even get anything yet. All I have is the cardboard thing with my name on it, saying that I am a winner of $1 million," Tash told THE STAR yesterday. When THE STAR made contact with the Yallahs police, yesterday, they confirmed the incident.
