Vibe missing from Altitude |
|||||
Krista Henry, Staff Reporter
Altitude had everything set in place for a great staging last Saturday night, but the vibe was missing. Taking place at Hope Gardens, the signature black and white party offered patrons all they had promised a fashionable heels-friendly venue, drinks to get the vibe going and music to rock to. However, it was only after 3 a.m that persons began to rock with a few dancing, most opting to socialise and show off their fashionable outfits. Songs like Mavado's Settle Down, Popcaan's Raving and a few others got favourable responses from the crowd especially the girls. When The STAR reached the party after 11 p.m, the venue was almost empty with persons turning out late. By 12:30 a.m persons were just reaching the party strolling in and finding a position. It was a fashion parade throughout the night as persons, especially the girls, showed off their black and white best. Most patrons stuck to the black and white theme, with a few standing out in colours. Code Red played throughout the early segment getting a groove with early dancehall hits but soon fell flat before ZJ Ice took over. Ice kept a steady beat on the party till Coppershot, as they managed to get some patrons dancing. In front of the VIP area, to the centre of the dance, couples were getting down and having fun. In the crowd The STAR spotted entertainers such as Chino McGregor, Bounty Killer, Voicemail and Popcaan. When The STAR left after 3 a.m Code Red was once more on the wheels of steel and few were leaving the party, with the majority hoping to catch a vibe. 'Starring' the party (out of 5 stars)
