Upcoming reggae artiste Yulando Bentley Mitchell, who goes by the stage name Trapycal, said he has the full package to deliver quality music to reggae lovers. "I am a good performer that is why I was given the name Trapycal because I have a lot of energy, plus I do clean, positive music so I believe am rounded as an artiste," he said. Trapycal mastered the art of performing by watching artistes such as Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Sizzla and Buju Banton. The artiste, who is working with Tripple Star production, said he is unsigned but Tripple Star controls all aspects of his music business. "I am not really signed as yet but my management is under Tripple Star. I also record for other producers like E South production, with whom I recently recorded a single," he said. Trapycal has a collaboration with veteran reggae artiste Stevie Face, Murder. The song is getting decent radio rotations and, according to the artiste, the message is positive. A finalist in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's festival competition in 2006, the young artiste said he has taken time to learn about the music.
"I learnt a lot from people in the business and I just want to show it in a positive way," he said.
Trapycal is working on his debut album to be released next year. He has his eyes on scoring at the Grammys like reggae icon Bob Marley.
"Trapycal is about positiveness, my music is to heal the nation and to take you out of stress, so just look out for my music and support the movement," he concluded.
