I need your help. I walked away from my marriage after finding out that my husband is gay and has always been. His lawyer wrote a letter asking me to give him permission to give my husband a cheque of $10 million for a piece of land we both own.

Dear J.C.,

You said you need my help. Am I to understand that the issue here is that your husband's lawyer is dealing with the division of property which your husband and yourself own? In other words, is he asking you to agree to give your husband $10 million as his share of the property? Whatever is the issue, I would suggest that you do not sign any document without the advice of your lawyer. I hope that you have retained one.
