A man who allegedly submitted forged documents in his application for a credit card from the National Commercial Bank (NCB) was remanded for trial on October 13 in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Kirk Douglas of Flemmington Drive, St Andrew, is charged with forgery. Allegations are that on July 30, the defendant tendered a visa classic card application to the Newport West branch of NCB. His application was sent to the NCB Card Centre for processing. During the processing of the application, certain documents in the application were deemed to be forged. On August 18, the defendant reportedly visited the bank to collect the card when he was nabbed in a police operation that had been set up by the bank and the Organised Crime Division. |
