While he lost his stepfather in a gruesome attack, upcoming artiste Savage said he is grateful that his mother, who was also shot in the incident, is still alive. Earlier this week, it was reported that Bradley and Maria Morgan were killed at Fagan Avenue, off Grants Pen in St Andrew. However, when THE WEEKEND STAR spoke with Savage, whose real name is Simon Daley, he said his mother, Maria, was shot in the head but she is now out of the hospital. Now picking up the pieces, Savage said he is happy his mother, who is a pastor, survived the attack that took place about 3 o' clock Tuesday morning. "I'm keeping up. Right now, I'm kinda confused bout the whole situation. Mi just haffi look pon it and give God thanks seh mi madda still alive. We just haffi try and pick up the pieces," he said, adding that his stepfather was an appointed deacon. While he is recovering from the incident, Savage said his eight-year-old brother is still traumatised. "Mi likkle brother did inna di room and the only thing he can say is that the guys dem a come back. Is a big tragedy for the family but we just have to try and keep strong," Savage said. Although hurt and upset by the gruesome act, the artiste said he does not plan to retaliate. "By the time mi reach home, mi couldn't even see to how mi a cry. Right now, mi not even a pree no violence. Mi caan mek the devil trick mi. Mi just haffi deh ya fi mi mother and likkle brother.
