Dancehall recording artiste Tanto Blacks, known for his catchy dance moves and unforgettable 'Twitter' and 'Bluetooth' slogans, is this week mourning the passing of his grandmother.

Tanto, who has been steadily building a name for himself on the local scene ever since exiting the popular Magnum Kings & Queens competition last year, shared the sad news recently while meeting with Sharon Burke, head of the Bookings & Promotions firm Solid Agency.

With funeral arrangement now being undertaken, Tanto recounted his last contact with his grandmother. "She was sick and I was supposed to go look for her in the country but I was unable to make it, so I never get the opportunity to hold her before she pass. It hurt mi, mi nah lie."

Currently riding radio airwaves with a slew of new singles including No Cow Foot on the Hot Patty Riddim and Hotta Dan You on the G Shock Riddim, Tanto Blacks is determined to make his mark in the industry. "Right now, mi a record a whole lot of songs for the Christmas, mi a build mi ting on a level and I want to thank the fans that support Tanto Blacks from day one."
