The police in Hanover are investigating the death of 14-year-old Devon Haughton who was found hanging from a tree in his backyard on Tuesday evening.

Haughton, who is from March Town district, Green Island, in the parish, was found about 6:30 p.m.

According to the Green Island police, Haughton, a student of the Rhodes Hall High School, left home for school but did not return as expected.

It is reported that relatives made several checks and later found his body suspended from the tree.

The police were summoned and his body was removed to the morgue.
