Oneinity, Harmons book semi-final spots |

Defending champs Oneinity of Group A and Harmons United from Group C booked semi-final spots following contrasting results in the Waterford Corner League football tournament at the Waterford field last Sunday. In the opening game of a triple-header at the venue, Oneaway Austin netted for Harmons as they battled to a 1-1 draw with out-of-contention Little America to top Group C with seven points from three games. In the second game, Duncan's from Group C put themselves in contention for a semi-final spot as they defeated Park Heights 3-1, while Jermaine McKoy scored as Oneinity obliged their fans with a 1-0 win over Boston-based Parkway. The competition continues today and tomorrow. Games on today: Little America vs Big League at 2 p.m., Parkway vs Duncan's 4 p.m. Tomorrow: Souvenir Strikers vs Afghanistan at 2 p.m., Hamden vs Wigton at 4 p.m. |
