Star Tell Me Pastor

Ignore that silly man

Dear Pastor,

I am 30 years old and I am having a problem with men. Everywhere I go and everywhere I work, men want to get involved with me. I have a boyfriend and I moved into his apartment and a guy living next door has been talking to me and telling me that I am too lovely to be with my boyfriend. My boyfriend is not educated, but he is a hard worker and he treats me very well. The guy next door is a businessman and he does everything to get my attention.

I want to know if I should tell my boyfriend about him. I went for a swim in the pool and, as I got there, he showed up at the pool in a bathing trunk showing off his big buff. I was so embarrassed. I knew he was trying to get my attention. I left the pool and went back to my apartment. I don't want my boyfriend and this man to get into any argument and that is the only reason why I haven't said anything to him as yet.

A.R., St Andrew

Dear A.R.,

Ignore this silly man. You know that he is doing his best to get your attention and to establish a relationship with you. Do not give him the slightest impression that you are interested in him. If he continues to harass you, then you should tell your boyfriend about it. But watch his behaviour for a while. Remember that you cannot prevent a bird from flying over your head but you can prevent it from making a nest on your head.

This man can admire you and make himself a fool. But if you do not allow him to get into your life, it won't happen.

Pastor
