|
The firearm trial for popular clergyman Al Miller is set to continue in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on September 15. The Crown closed its case when the matter was heard yesterday before Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly- Williams. The defence is expected to call its first witness when the trial resumes. Miller is facing the charge of negligence in relation to the theft of his licensed firearm. Allegations are that in January, Miller parked his vehicle on Shortwood Road in St Andrew, and left to conduct business nearby.
It is further alleged that on his return, it was discovered that a pouch which contained his firearm was missing.
Miller reported the incident to the police, who later charged him with negligence.
He is out on $100,000 bail. |
