Serani sings, plays keyboard on 'Da Reggae Tip'

Serani

Following up last year's show-stealing performance at HOT 97's On Da Reggae Tip show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, Serani reaffirmed he is currently one of the best live performers on the dancehall scene.

An accomplished producer and musician, Serani decided it was time to showcase his skills to the world and started his performance on this year's Reggae Tip show seated at the keyboard.

Dapperly dressed in suit and tie, Serani started out singing new single Sweet Love and had the crowd watching in awe as he also played the keyboard. He segued into his second Billboard hit single She Loves Me before jumping from the keyboard and continuing the rest of his high-energy set on tracks, spun by Troopa Chaloopa.

Serani had the audience in raptures for the rest of his set, interacting throughout as he gave them favourites such as Doh, Badmind and the classic No Games.

"I decided it was time to take my live set to another level," said Serani in a release sent to The WEEKEND STAR. "The majority of people don't know that I can do that (play keyboard). Making a debuting with this type of performance at On Da Reggae Tip was the right platform as it's such a prestigious show with a diverse crowd. The feedback has been great and I will definitely be adding this element to my future performances."

Serani closed out his set with dance anthem Skip To My Luu, leaving Hammerstein Ballroom satisfied and breathless by the time he left the stage.
