After her feature in hidden camera skit ... Ity, Fancy Cat seek desperate woman

Crystal Harrison, STAR Writer

An old woman who appeared on Sunday night's episode of the 'Ity and Fancy Cat Show' is being sought by the comedic duo and the producer of the show to assist her with her gigantic water bill.

The old woman who was featured in the three and half minutes hidden camera skit, 'How Would You React', tried to masked a large quantity of fake cash in her hand luggage; later indicating that she was in need of the cash to pay her 'water rate'.

However, she later found out that it was a prank.

The woman is said to owe $100,050 on her water bill.

"Dem nah know a who find dat (money), somebody pick up dat long time and gone, we are gonna share it . Shub weh you a shub inna mi bag yah. Mi nah tell a soul noting and please don't say anything. Shub it right dung," the woman said to a female who claimed she found the cash on the road.

THE STAR understands that even though the woman failed the prank, Ity and Fancy Cat, along with Owen 'Blakka' Ellis of Ellis International, producer of the Ity and Fancy Cat show, are trying to get in touch with the old lady to help her with the water bill.

a nice gesture

According to Ellis, "Ity, Fancy Cat, and myself have all put some money from our personal pockets and we want to find her, but all we have is her name and her signature. We feel if we find her and publicly hand her a cheque, it would be a nice gesture."

Meanwhile, when contacted yesterday, Fancy Cat told THE STAR that they will not be able to pay the full amount quoted by the woman, but that they would want to make a contribution.

"I had to ask the woman if a club she a run mek her bill so high. Even though everybody a make fun of her, we want to give her something. Our contribution might not cover the full cost but we want to help," Fancy Cat said.

According to Ity, "In the skit she mentioned something about water rate but at the time we didn't get to follow up, but we want to help and it was afterwards we realised that we only had her name and signature but no other contact information."

Interestingly, the comedic duo on their Facebook page had to respond to curious fans who wanted to know if the money used in the skit was real.

"How Would You React' gag is fake. Is not real money!!! They are big, hard, photocopies of currency. It is obviously false, the notes are bigger than any wallet on Earth and they would have realised it if any of the people had paused long enough to look," the comedic duo wrote.

The woman is being asked to make contact with Ellis International at 754-7391 or THE STAR at 932-6248.
