Nephew accused of theft receives two years' probation |

|
An accused man who reportedly broke into his aunt's house by removing the burglar bars and stealing $10,500 received two years' probation in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Jerome Bullock was charged with housebreaking and larceny and had legal representation. Bullock's attorney argued that her client was contrite and would relocate and live with his girlfriend. After considering the attorney's defence, the court ordered the defendant to make full restitution to the complainant. At the same time, the complainant was advised that she could visit the civil court and sue him for her money. It was reported that on the day of the incident,the accused used a pickaxe to remove the burglar bars from the complainant's dwelling house,entered the premises and stole the said amount of money. |
