Mr Vegas. - File Mr Vegas and his Trema band stole the honours at the 10th annual Ostroda Reggae Festival in Poland recently with a high-energy performance that ignited the 10,000-strong audience and cemented Mr Vegas' reputation as a top-class performer in Europe. "I had an amazing time, I really love the Polish people. They are an incredible audience and I really enjoyed performing It was the international recording artiste's first trip to Poland. Singing hits such as his recent Sweet Jamaica on a wicked one-drop riddim, he had the audience in the palm of his hands. He took time out to bring a message of love and brotherhood "Anyone here knows English? Ok, take it down, I watch the TV and I look in Somalia, and I see famine and we are all brothers and sisters of the people in Somalia, and I want to show love to the people in Somalia right now," he said while somebody translated his words to the large audience. Then he sang a reggae-tinged rendition of Michael Jackson's Hold Me while the audience sang along and waved their hands. After winning over the audience with the emotional song, he segued neatly into the dancehall segment of his set with his breakout hit, Hot Wuk, with the European-based Ukkubit Divas doing the latest, most provocative dances from Jamaica.
He then did songs such as Tek Weh Yuself, and he got a rousing plaudits for I Am Blessed, especially when he broke into an improvised high-energy deejay segment. He afterwards did the spiritual-tinged Up Deh and Things Rough, a cut from his upcoming album on the version of 'You Can Get It If You Want' riddim, as well as Roses in My Garden on the 'Cherry Oh Baby' riddim. He closed his set with the Beatles' cod-reggae international hit, Obla Di Obla Da, and well received renditions of Desmond Dekker's Tek It Easy and Poor Me Israelites.
Music critics wrote the following day in local newspapers that it was an amazing performance. One reporter wrote that it was "hands down the best show of the entire festival".

The singjay will now be turning his attention towards a North American tour and his album which will be released early 2012.
"I want to get this album right so we are spending a lot of time mixing and fine-tuning the different tracks to make sure everything is of the highest quality," he said.
