Suspect in stabbing incident turns self in

A man who is reportedly the main suspect in the stabbing of a 30-year-old taxi-operator in Slipe, St Elizabeth, on August 14, turned himself in last weekend.

The man's name has not been released, pending an identification parade.

According to reports from the St Elizabeth police, Rickroy Smith, of George Reid district in Manchester, was stabbed while at a dance in the Slipe community.

Smith succumbed to his injuries at the Black River Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
