St Andrew communities to experience one-week disruption in water service

The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that several St Andrew communities will experience a one-week disruption in service.

Starting Monday, September 5 to Friday, September 9, the NWC says works will be carried out under the Jamaica Water Supply Improvement Project in Stony Hill, in the parish.

The areas to be affected include Kingswood Road, Seaview Road, Newton Drive, Montgomery Drive and Diamond Road.

Customers in these areas will experience water supply interruptions between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

NWC customers served by the Constant Spring Treatment Plant in St Andrew are to experience disruptions on Tuesday and Thursday.

The disruptions will be between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The affected communities include Constant Spring, Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, Havendale, Half-Way Tree, Lady Musgrave, Liguanea, Manor Park, Shortwood, Acadia, White Hall Gardens, Belgrade, Kingswood and Eastwood Park Gardens.

The NWC said customers from Hughenden, Stillwell Road, Cassia Park, sections of Barbican Road, Russell Heights, Constant Spring Gardens, Mannings Hill Road and Red Hills Road will also be affected.
