Cops probe tour operator's murder

The police in St James are investigating the shooting death of a tour operator of Norwood View in the parish last weekend.

The 48-year-old man's three-year-old daughter was also shot and seriously injured in the incident.

According to police reports, about 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, Courtney Brown and his daughter were returning home in his white Nissan minibus, upon reaching their gate, two men armed with handguns approached them and opened fire, hitting them both.

It is reported that Brown ran and was chased by the gunmen, who shot him several times.

The police were summoned and on their arrival, Brown was found lying on his back, in nearby bushes.

Brown and his daughter were taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His daughter was admitted in serious condition.
