NWA extends deadline for Boulevard roadwork
The National Works Agency (NWA) has extended the August 31 deadline for the completion of extensive roadworks on the Washington Boulevard.

September 4 is the new deadline date.

The project, which began on January 4, last year, will cost over $1 million and involve the construction of three new bridge structures, and the installation of underground systems.

The road has also been widened.

expansion

According to the NWA, expansion work was done on nearly three kilometres of the Washington Boulevard roadway, from the Molynes intersection to the junction at Dunrobin Avenue and Constant Spring Road.

It is reported that earlier this year, the bridges at the Red Hills overpass and at the Rochester and Merrivale gullies were 70 per cent complete.

The project is being undertaken by Surrey Paving and Aggregate Company Limited.
