Tivoli's Michael Blygen will head to Humble Lions.

Newly promoted, Highgate United and Montego Bay United have been the busiest since the 2011-2012 Premier League transfer window.

The St Mary-based Highgate, who will be competing in the league for the first time, in a bid to be competitive, have so far made 19 transfers, while Montego Bay United out of St James have so far secured the services of 10 players.

Among those who have been added to the Highgate roster are three players from the Portland-based St Georges and St Ann-based Benfica both of who were relegated from the league last season.

The St Georges players are Zanike Anderson, Donovan Davis, and Delroy James, while the Benfica players that have put pen to paper are Carlos Smith, Andre Dyce and Adrian Peart.

Two other noticeable players who will be playing for the Braxton Hyre-conditioned unit will be David Boswell from Clarendon's Sporting Central Academy, and Shamal Briscoe of Portmore United.

Montego Bay United, on the other hand, previously known as Seba United, have so far signed seven players from neighbouring Village United, who were one the western region's two standard bearers in the league last year.

most active

The seven players are Keniel Kirlew, Donovan Carey, Winston Wilkinson, Rohan Bernard, Mario Samuels, Nicolie Barrett, and Jermaine Woozencroft.

The Orville Powell-led club have also signed two of Reno's top-rated players Troy Reid and Shane Anderson.

Meanwhile, of last season's Premier League teams, Clarendon's Humble Lions have been the most active with 11 transfers already secured.

They include Michael Blygen of champions Tivoli Gardens, Joel Anderson of Boys' Town, and the Benfica pair of Omar Walters and Damion James.

Other clubs to have so far completed transfers include Village United (five), Arnett Gardens (three), Portmore United (one), and Reno (one).

Several other clubs, in the meantime, are yet to register their roster of players, according to a release from the Professional Football Association of Jamaica, which along with the Premier League Clubs Association, administers the league.

These include Waterhouse, Harbour View and Sporting Central Academy, who have either submitted incomplete documents or have missed their original deadline for registration.

The league is slated to start on Sunday.
