A Primary School teacher from Portmore St Catherine,who is charged with carnal abuse of a 15-year-old girl, was granted $200,000 bail in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

The accused, who is 32, was granted bail after his lawyer, Anthony Pearson made a successful bail application.

He told the court his client had a spotless career, a fixed address and would attend court to prove his innocence.

The accused is to surrender his travel documents and return to court on September 30.

The Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) charged the teacher following a probe.

He allegedly molested the child after after he lured her into a false sense of security.
