An unemployed man who has been charged with murder did not enter a plea and was granted $200,000 bail when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

He is Carlington Lee, 33, from a Kingston 17 address. Lee will return to court on September 27 for mention.

Allegations are that on April 23 last year, the accused and the now deceased Dalton Morris had a dispute at the Caribbean Cement Company's packing plant over money that was allegedly owed to the accused.

It is alleged that during the dispute, the accused used a knife to stab Morris in the neck. Following this, he was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The court was told that Morris owed the accused $3,000.
