A St Catherine resident whose house was allegedly searched and several rounds of ammunition found was freed in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Rohan Evans of March Pen Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was told he could go home when the case came up for mention. Defence attorney Donald Bryan told Resident Magistrate Natalee Brookes that his client has been in court on several occasions and no exhibits were brought forward.

Allegations are that in January last year, the police searched Evans' house in March Pen Road, St Catherine. During the search, four 5.56 rounds of ammunition were found on a dresser. He was subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of ammunition.
