Telecommunications company LIME introduced a 'flipping good' deal on Tuesday at the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre with the launch of its newest product offer - a low-cost PC called the 'FLIPtop'.

With flipping dancers, crazy bikers and hot artistes, LIME showcased the new device, which is poised to increase internet penetration across the island, and a catchy marketing campaign behind it.

"When we considered that what often blocks access to the Internet for consumers is the affordability of the access device, we decided to help to remove this barrier and give more people a chance to get online," said LIME Jamaica's Managing Director Garry Sinclair.

The computer provides consumers with the features and utility of more expensive devices for the affordable price of $14,999. The handy device will be available to new customers who sign up for a two-year Internet service package with LIME, and with the deal being introduced just in time for back-to-school.

During the launch, LIME also made presentations to J'neil Green, the top female GSAT awardee, and LIME artiste QQ for his recent success in the CSEC examinations.

For customers needing financial assistance to purchase a 'FLIPtop', LIME has partnered with Jamaica National Building Society to make loans available under favourable conditions. JNBS will provide financing through its 'Term Share Loan' which allows account holders the option of borrowing a portion of the funds held in their savings account while still earning interest on their savings.

The new ultra-thin, WiFi-enabled FLIPtop has a 160 GB hard drive, 1GB Ram, a 1.3 mega pixel, skype-ready camera and comes with the Windows 7 OS.
