Former national footballer Walter 'Blacka' Boyd had yet another run-in with the law after he was brought before the Family Court last Thursday by the mother of his child for lack of child maintenance.

Boyd, who was hauled before the court after he absconded bail, was granted $10,000 bail in his own surety and is to return on September 5.

Interestingly, THE STAR understands that Boyd has absolutely denied being the dad of the child in question, but has refused to do a DNA test to determine paternity.

Nonetheless, the court ordered a DNA test to be conducted and the results are to be made available by the next court date.

Just recently, Boyd was implicated in a case of assault that was heard in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court in April.

The former Reggae Boy was a member of the senior national team that qualified from the Concacaf football region that participated in the country's sole FIFA World Cup appearance in France in 1998.
