Up to Press time, investigators were still searching for the killer/s of a senior citizen in Central Village, St Catherine, yesterday.

Dead is Imogene Agatha Brown, 70, of Hamilton Drive, Windsor Heights.

Police reports are that about 3 a.m., cries for help were heard coming from Brown's house. Relatives later found her body with the throat slashed, cuts to her hand and her head in a pool of blood.

Her daughter expressed sadness about the her mother's gruesome death.

"I don't know why I never stay over dere as a went and lay down pon har bed and left. It wicked, man," the mourning daughter said.

Her views echoed that of many who said Brown was a peaceful person who did not deserve to die that way.

The community was also visited by Member of Parliament Sharon Hay-Webster. She asked residents to cooperate with the investigation by telling what they know.

Meanwhile, the Central Village police are conducting an investigation in the matter.

No motive has been established for the murder of the senior citizen.
