Andy Livingston lauds JCDC Popular Song Contest |
|||||
Andy Livingston - Contributed Fast-rising reggae singer Andy Livingston is convinced now more than ever that his big break in music is just around the corner. The man with the baritone voice, recently placed third in the JCDC Popular Song Competition with his entry titled Jamaica Sunshine, said that his time in the competition was well spent as he learned a lot. He also said that the contest enabled him to expose his music to new audience locally, and for this he is eternally thankful to JCDC and the people of Jamaica. "A lot of artistes are afraid that they will be stigmatised if they enter certain competitions, but I am very happy that I entered the Popular Song Contest. I have gained a lot from it and I have also formed a lot of good friendships with the other contestants too. Overall, it was a very good experience," said Livingston. Now that the competition is over, he is now focused on the continued promotion of his latest single titled The One, which is an up-tempo track done in collaboration with talented newcomer Kenzic. "Right now it's all about the promotion of my latest single, The One. It has been getting a lot of airplay and I am planning to shoot a video for it very soon. I plan to go all out with this tune; I believe it has a lot of potential." Also on the cards for Andy Livingston are several upcoming gigs in Antigua, Barbados and Trinidad. |
