G-Whizz rocks Japan |

G-Whizz - Contributed G-whizz left Jamaica on July 12, did an overnight show in Canada and arrived in Japan on July 14 and that's when we had his first experience with Japan's earthquake in Ibaragiken, Japan. G-Whizz said, "In our hotel room on the ninth floor, jah know me and John G Q (assistance manager) ran down the stairs. When we reach outside, everyone was looking normal doing their own thing. I guess them use to it but we, no, no." appreciate my songs G-Whizz's first show was held at at 'Club Siki' Ibaragiken, Japan, on July 15. G-Whizz said: "This show was amazing and surprising to me to see how a next culture love and appreciate my songs and respect me as a recording artiste. The turnout was good I liked it." The second show, Weather King, was held in Miyazakishi, on July 16, the audience sang with G-Whizz word for word for all his songs. The third show at Bar Caezar Matuyamashi, on July 17, had an excellent turnout while the fourth show in Osakashi the following night was also successful. " I now realise that Japan a mi place. Mi real Japanese fans dem deh yah, and I also gain new fans. Mad!" After a three-day break, G-Whizz had two back-to-back performances in Nagoyashi and Fukuokashi. From there, he moved on to Osakafu and then Tokyoto. G-Whizz described his performance in Tokyoto as outstanding. "This one was off the chain, the stage was in front a pool then the rain started to fall me and about 2,000 Japanese party in the rain." He said his performance in Osaka on July 30 "was amazing, with over 15,000 Japanese, and biggest stage I ever performed on. Everyone singing jumping with mi, mad, mad ting I swear, then di day after was autograph signing. Hundreds a people came out to di store and mi sign for three hours straight, and album sold out, that day was crazy!" |
