The National Works Agency (NWA) has advised that a section of Orion Avenue in Harbour View, St Andrew, will be closed for six weeks as of yesterday, Sunday, July 23. The NWA said the closure is to facilitate construction of the approach ramp to the new Dry River bridge and the completion of associated drainage works. Motorists wishing to access east Harbour View are being reminded to use Lunar Drive. The NWA said the works are part of the US$8.9 million Transport Infrastructure Rehabilitation Pro-gramme funded by the Inter-American Development Bank. The funding will assist with construction of the new Dry River bridge and the undertaking of road improvements in Harbour View. The NWA has urged motorists who use the corridor to obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons while work is in progress. |
