Mallchest gearing up for tour |

Reggae artiste Mallchest is gearing up to go on tour following the release of his new CD titled Order Mallchest. The artiste, born Floyd Robinson, who hails from St Elizabeth, says that he has been doing music since attending high school. "They always ask me to perform at events, particularly concerts," he said. dabbles in production According to the artiste, his musical influence came from his older sister, who is also a talented singer. "My sister has a marvellous voice and she inspired me to become a great singer," he said. Mallchest dabbles in production of music and contributed to the production of some of the tracks on his current project. The album carries a total of 14 well-crafted tracks co-produced by experienced producers Caveman and Clive Robinson. According to Mallchest, Caveman saw that he had potential and made the effort to harness his talent to get him to the level of any professional entertainer. The artiste noted that this album is not the first time that he has worked with Cave man. He said he and Caveman had previously scored a hit in Germany called Be Still, distributed by European company Cosmo Music. He further stated that the song was being sold on iTunes and gets regular rotation in Germany. "My hit song, Be Still, always gets played in parties and clubs in Germany, even to this day," he said. Mallchest also features on a single with dancehall/reggae artiste Sizzla Kalonji. The song, Hot Sop Em, is also produced by Caveman. The artiste says that he is very passionate about music and spends most of his time writing and perfecting his craft. "I write conscious songs that will uplift listeners," he added. Mallchest is currently gearing up to go on an European tour to promote his album. |
