Mavado's friend to be buried tomorrow |

MConroy Edwards, the member of Mavado's entourage who was shot outside a nightclub on June 13, will be laid to rest tomorrow. According to his mother, Rose Brown: "I didn't get any support from the police except from Superintendent Morgan. When I went down to the Half-Way Tree Police Station, she ask mi if mi a get nuh help," she told The STAR. Expressing her grief, she wondered why no one has come forward to help her. "Mi son dead in a way and mi nuh hear nutting from nobody. An' fi know seh him a nuh gunman." However, Mavado will be helping out, as Brown expressed that she can't complain about the artiste's help. " He didn't have to do anything," she said. "Mi just want the Lord to bless and keep Mavado, 'cause all dem a accuse him of, him nuh guilty, an' mi thank him for the help," Brown said sadly. Popularly called Connie, Edwards was about to leave Bounty Killer's birthday party, when police attempted to search Mavado. A scuffle started and Edwards was shot. He died three days after. |
