BUS CHASE ENDS IN HIGH DRAMA

The police yesterday were involved in a high-speed chase with a Toyota Coaster bus which collided with several vehicles when the driver desperately made an escape.

THE STAR understands that there was high drama along Washington Boulevard, St Andrew, about midday.

A police source said that the cops were conducting traffic duties in the area when they ordered the driver of a white Coaster bus to stop. It is reported, however, that he sped away.

THE STAR understands that the police went in chase of the vehicle and that was when the incident happened. It is said that when the driver fled, the bus collided with approximately eight vehicles and a motorcyclist.

The collisions are said to have led to a traffic build-up.

THE STAR was further told that despite the collision the bus driver managed to make an escape.

When contacted, the Duhaney Park Police were unable to confirm the incident as their Traffic Division was already closed.
