Six charged in drug seizure |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer Six persons have been charged in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of ganja in Bridgeport, Portmore, St Catherine, on Monday. Charged with possession of and dealing in ganja are Penny Cummings, Christopher Powell, Monique Catnot, Mahail James, Marlon Williams and a juvenile, all of Bridgeport. Reports are that about 2:30 p.m., a team of police from the St Catherine South Fugitive Apprehension Team and Island Special Constabulary Force were on operation. The team went to a house in Bridgeport during which a back room was searched. The drug was found stuffed in a barrel. The occupants were taken into custody. |
