Chino back from US tour

Artiste Chino McGregor returned to the island a few days ago after a three-and-a-half week US album promotional tour.

His US album, Chino, which was released to much fanfare in May, took the singer to innumerable places in the short space of time — they include: the Best of the Best concert (Miami), the Reggae For Japan concert in Queens, New York, in addition to album release parties inNew Jersey, Albany, Boston, Rochester, Brooklyn, Bronx,Manhattan, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville in Florida, San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles, California.

Chino's dedication to his craft is paying off ten-fold. The artiste who is known for hits From Mawning, Protected, Pon Yuh Head, Seal The Link and the sexy new single Driving Me Insane, featuring Denique, is gaining momentum on several international charts.

Chino's self-titled album, Chino, is currently number seven on the New York Top 20 Reggae Albums chart and number six on the South Florida Top 15 Albums chart.

In addition,Driving Me Insane,which last week entered theGlobal Reggae Top 40 Singles Chartat number 40, jumped 20 spots and now sits at number 20 on the chart.

Chino is currently in the island working on new tracks before he leaves for a busy summer and winter tour line-up.
