Once upon a time in dancehall land there lived a plus-size king, Hurricane, and a dread-locked queen, Nioma, who ruled over the Magnum stage - and the voting lines of the competition. Minutes before that time, however, there stood before the audience and judges, Ms Kitty, Professor Nuts and Skatta Burrell, a pair of princes and princesses who had endured much during their Magnum King and Queen journey at each show held at Kia Motors on Chelsea Avenue. And as the two donned their crowns and sat on the throne, they made a smooth but noisy transition to royalty. A preview of Nioma's journey showed her various performances on the Magnum stage before she went into performance mode singing, "Black people stop complain about everything," which found favour with the Magnum audience, particularly the females. "A while ago when me a watch yuh journey it come in like is a real journey," said Skatta. He went on to say that from he saw her at the auditions he thought that she would go far and her hardwork has paid off as she is now in the finals. He echoed the message of her song that Jamaicans should stop complaining and commended her for the effort. Yabalicious' journey showed her entertaining stage presence and attitude, which touted her as a crowd favourite. During her performance she confronted the man who thought he could give her 'bun' and get away with it telling him to "talk, talk, talk, talk, to mi now". Ms Kitty game her kudos saying, "Yabalicious yah do yuh ting an wi nuh response fi people." As for the princes, Specialist continued his onstage hustling of phone cards, banana chips and 'cash-fi-gold' with Professor Nuts giving him props on a good song, making mention of how he had the audience rocking and singing along. The natural phenomenon Hurricane blew for the females as he gave a lesson on how to 'look woman'. "Weh di girls dem who can wine yuh waist deh?" he asked before he sang for them to do just that. Skatta compared his presence in the finals to the 'hurricane season' adding that, "Dean Fraser, Papa Biggy and Snowcone ago get some company," making reference to Hurricane's size. He said that his hard work and perseverance has paid off after all his years of trying. Earlier in the night, performances from contestants of this season's show were well received by the audience.
