Woman offered $100,000 bail |

|
Bail in the sum of $100,000 with own surety was offered by the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court on Thursday to a woman who was reportedly found in possession of 287.7 pounds of ganja in her house recently. Shadian Maragh Wolfe, charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act, is to return to court on July 22. At the same time, a second suspect, Dorren Simon, who police say conspired with Wolfe and others to store the ganja at the aforementioned address, was remanded until July 22. According to police reports, a team from the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division acted on intelligence and went to a premises on Woodpecker Avenue in the Kingston 13 area where they made the contraband discovery. It was reported that a room occupied by the accused was searched when the police encountered five bags that contained compressed vegetable matter resembling ganja. A total of 59 parcels were reportedly confiscated by the police. |
