Task force investigates death of man |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force has launched an intensive investigation for person/s responsible for a body found chopped to pieces and buried in two suitcases. It was later identified as that of Germaine Green of Cumberland in Portmore, St Catherine, who went missing two weeks ago. Green is said to have left home and two days after, family members received a call that he was abducted. Investigators revealed the body was found buried in Palmer's Land, an area between Cumberland and Westchester, on Wednesday. THE WEEKEND STAR learnt that Green's body was chopped up, stuffed in the suitcases and then buried. The body was in an advanced stage of decomposition. Meanwhile, further investigations are being conducted in the matter. In December last year, police investigators found two bodies in shallow graves in a section of Westchester. That matter is still being investigated. Councillor for the Westchester Division, Shane Dalling, said that the Ministry of Social Security has been contacted and money was identified for the bushing of the area. |
