What was just another song to be featured on Mr Vegas' album has now become a song for incarcerated reggae superstar Buju Banton.

Mr Vegas said the song was not done specifically for Buju as it was one of the tracks for his album but it just happened to come out at the right time.

He told The STAR, "The people dem seh a Buju song suh mi just go with it because it just blend in with what's happening right now."

He said that he had wanted to create a rub-a-dub song that the core dancehall fans would appreciate.

"Buju is a good dancehall artiste, it's not about whether or not he should be in jail, no matter what happen he has inspired a lot of us as artistes. Even at one time me with my fine voice a try sound like Buju," said Mr Vegas.

"I'm not a lawyer, I hope he just hurry and come back a Jamaica because he's a good person," he added, before before telling of an occasion overseas when Buju lent him his keyboard to perform after he had left his.

He said the song has been doing well since its release.

"It's crazy, it's all over the Internet. From man like Bobby Konders and David Rodigan and those old school people giving it the strength you must know," he said.
