Police in the St Catherine North Division have identified the two men who were killed in Linstead, St Catherine, on Wednesday night.

They are Damion Gordon, 30, and 40-year-old Gary Leechman.

Reports are that Gordon, who is also known as Shabba, was shot some nine times on the upper body. Leechman, who was standing next to Gordon, was also shot. Both died later, succumbed to injuries received.

Reports from the police are that investigations suggest that Gordon was the target.

The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force has started an investigation into the matter.
