One night, one venue, two parties

The brand Barcode has become synonymous to many partygoers with each staging for its high energy fun and quality entertainment.

Within the past three years, Barcode has been held seven times and each at a new venue.

"We did a survey among past patrons and random university students and they overwhelmingly requested we have our next staging once more at the Quad nightclub," says IB Konteh, promoter of Club BarCode.

This current staging is being promoted with the tagline 'One night, one venue and two parties'. The Quad provides the perfect venue for such a theme to take place, as this week will be the opening of the premium lounge now dubbed Déjà Vu formerly Voodoo. "We are catering for those that want the premium feel and for those that want to party from 10 p.m., until sunlight," says Konteh. "I am particularly interested in Ultra Club BarCode (Déjà Vu) as patrons will be astonished as to the look and feel of this new dance floor," added Konteh.

Brittany Bain, PR Coordinator for Club BarCode says, "The response has been great thus far from patrons, we see this through the near 5,000 persons daily on our Facebook page and hundreds of tweets per day." There have been giveaways from sponsors such as Digicel, Appleton Jamaica Rum and Rough Rider condoms through some social media websites. "One of our competitions was actually a trending topic in the Caribbean for an entire day on Twitter," continues Bain.

The selectors for the night will be Zj Ice, Dj Lank and Chris Dymond from Code Red playing at Club BarCode and Dj Sanjay from Coppershot and Dj Franco from Bloodline playing at Ultra Club Barcode. There will also be ATI season bands, Rough Rider condoms, BlackBerry and many more giveaways on the night of the event.
