The police have released the identities of the two persons who were killed in a traffic accident along the Flankers main road in St James on Monday night. Four persons were also injured in the crash.

They have been identified as Annakay Storage and Kadene Anderson, both 16 years old of Old Harbour addresses in St Catherine.

Police reports are that about 6:45 p.m., a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle was travelling towards Rosehall when one of the tyres reportedly blew. It is reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle which reportedly went across a median into the path of a hearse which was transporting a body to a funeral home.

Both girls died from their injuries while the other four persons were transported to the hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
