Labourer accused of robbery faces court |

|
A St Catherine man who reportedly hit a man with a baton repeatedly while robbing him of $51,000 was remanded when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. He is Kevin Nelson, a 30-year-old labourer of Spanish Town, St Catherine. When the case was mentioned before Resident Magistrate Marcia Dunbar-Green on Tuesday he pleaded not guilty. The allegations are that on May 26, he went to the complainant,whom he held beat and robbed. A report was lodged and subsequent investigations led to his arrest. He was charged with robbery with aggravation. He was remanded until July 19, when the matter will again be mentioned. - R.T. |
