Two plead not guilty to assaulting inmate |

|
Two inmates charged with assault occasioning bodily harm after they allegedly assaulted a fellow inmate pleaded not guilty to the charge in court on Tuesday. They are Jermaine Plunkett, 22, from a Chelsea Manor, New Kingston, address and Ezroy Palmer, 23, from a Waltham Park, Kingston 13, address. The men are to return to court on July 7, when the matter will be mentioned. Allegations are that on Tuesday May 3 about 1:50 p.m., the complainant who was being housed in a cell at the Hunt Bay police lock-up was severely beaten by the accused men after he was questioned about the offence for which he was charged. |
