There was a slow build up but patrons eventually had fun at Malibu Sunset that was held at East Kirkland Heights, Red Hills, St Andrew, on Sunday.

With people lining the poolside, DJ Pretty played songs like Chino's Ruff It Up, Vybz Kartel's Get Wild and Anthony B's Tease Har. At this point, there was a bit of movement from some of the patrons. Soon after, the Miss Jamaica Universe contestants strutted around the poolside to the delight of the male patrons.

Chromatic started a bit different with hip-hop songs like Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls and Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, before gliding into Voicemail's Dance The Night Away and Neyo's Give Me Everything. By now, one couple jumped into the pool creating a splash. Soon after, Kelly Rowland's Motivation got the women screaming, dancing and waving.

"A di number one song inna di country inna three days," the selector said, as he teased the patrons with the popular and hilarious Nobody Canna Cross It, getting some laughter in the process.

Ding Dong's Holiday got the patrons doing the 'Summer Swing' dance move. They later did moves like 'Drunking Dance', 'Sweep', 'Nuh Linga', 'Nuh Behavia' and 'Gallis'.

Chromatic then made way for Kingston All-stars, who started with older dancehall songs. There was a slight lull in the early stage of their set. However, they eventually got people dancing to songs like Press Trigger. Songs from Busy Signal, I-Octane, Konshens and Aidonia also got big forwards.

A group of scantily clad Rumbar Rum girls later joined a group of dancers, who were wearing matching outfits, on one side of the pool where they did some of the latest dance moves. Meanwhile, Chan Dizzy's Strange Face and Hello Badmind that were played in quick succession made an impact.

Mavado's Pepper and Shabba's None A Dem were well-received, while Vybz Kartel's Summertime was quite fitting with some people dancing around the poolside while others gyrated in the pool.

Minutes after 10 p.m., the music was turned down and that was followed by major sound problems that brought the party to a partial bore. During all of that, however, DJ Pretty managed to get major 'forwards' for the Nobody Canna Cross It remix that was being played for a second time and Macarena.
